STRANGE SCAPES
STRANGE SCAPES, 2018, evolved from an earlier series titled GRID-MARKS. Here I began with references to Rorschach’s inkblots, and progressed from there.

My “abstract” marks are made on assorted papers and transparencies, many of which have been hand-cut. As a result of creating a variety of blots, stains, smears, and freehand drawing with paints, oil pastels, India and alcohol inks, and markers STRANGE SCAPES emerged.
